More than 30 women from Mallorca and Latin America participate in training workshops promoting female representation in local governments.

The Mallorcan Cooperation Fund has launched the Les Elegides project, an initiative that seeks to promote women’s participation in local politics both in Mallorca and Latin America. The project, a finalist for the International, Regional, and Local Action Platform awards, focuses on strengthening women’s leadership capacities and facilitating their access to political decision-making spaces.

Through a strategy based on leadership and political rights training, raising awareness about the importance of female representation, and creating support networks, Les Elegides works to reduce the structural and cultural barriers that have historically hindered women’s political participation.
