The project, coordinated by the association Mojo de Caña in collaboration with Opciónate, aims to design a new municipal Equality Plan for the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council, promoting the integration of a gender perspective into its internal functioning and public policies.
The process will be developed using a participatory and theoretical-practical methodology, with an experiential approach, based on gender equality, diversity, rights, and interculturality. Throughout its implementation, municipal staff and the Town Council’s Equality Commission will be actively engaged, together with representatives of civil society, ensuring a comprehensive and pluralistic diagnosis.
Throughout the process, analyses, interviews, and opportunities for participation with municipal staff and citizens will be vital, as this will allow for the collective construction of the new Equality Plan as a real commitment to equity by the City Council.
The professional team responsible is made up of gender specialists from Opciónate, with extensive experience in coordination, institutional analysis, as well as design and development of equality policies.
From its professional and humanistic approach, Opciónate holds valuable expertise in promoting gender equality, strengthening institutions, promoting respectful relationships and active citizenship, both in person and online.
Through pursuing this project, the City Council of Santa Lucía de Tirajana is moving towards a more inclusive and equitable public management, strengthening its commitment to gender equality and to the continuous improvement of its organization.
