Description:
The educational training project “Addressing Cyber Gender-Based Violence” aimed to strengthen the capacities of social sector professionals in the prevention and response to gender-based violence in digital environments.
Delivered by Opciónate in an online format with a total duration of 6 hours, the training was designed for a group of 30 professionals, prioritising those working in gender-based violence intervention.
Using a participatory, practical and experiential methodology, the programme covered key topics such as digital rights and responsibilities, cyberviolence and online hate crimes, as well as the origins and different forms of gender-based violence in digital contexts.
It also provided tools for prevention —including cybersecurity, digital ethics, digital self-defence and digital equality— and for comprehensive victim support from psychological, legal and technological perspectives.
The project was developed through a gender, human rights, diversity and intercultural approach, reinforcing Opciónate’s commitment to training professionals capable of responding to the current challenges of digital violence
