Communication and Advocacy Workshop for Migrant Women of the Vecinas Project

Vista del municipio de La Aldea de San Nicolás

The Communication and Spokesperson Workshop aimed at migrant women living in Gran Canaria will contribute to creating a space for intercultural dialogue for the creation of an egalitarian society on the island thanks to four online training sessions that will take place between 8 and 17 February.

This free activity is part of the Neighbours Project and has been developed by Alianza por la Solidaridad and Farapi with the participation of Cúrcuma Estudio and funding from the Department of Equality, Diversity and Transparency of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria Gran Canaria Igualdad. The workshop will be given by the Opciónate Association.

The Neighbours Project seeks to contribute to the achievement of equality and participation for all migrants in Gran Canaria, particularly women, generating an active global citizenship that defends their rights. Registration for the sessions is open at https://bit.ly/3HAYu0L.

The sessions will take place on the 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th from 16.30 to 19.30 and the contents will address leadership, personal skills, communication and spokespersonship in relation to the issues identified in the dialogue spaces.
