Opciónate has just launched the website for the ConectAIgualdad service to coincide with 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Technology. With this initiative, we aim to promote digital ethics, cyber equality, the prevention of online gender-based violence, and feminist leadership both online and offline—combining innovation, training, and social impact to create digital spaces that are safer, more inclusive, and more just.
At a time when artificial intelligence and digital platforms are present in almost every aspect of our lives, ConectAIgualdad responds to an urgent challenge: gender-based violence does not only occur in physical spaces, but also online, across social media, and within automated AI systems. The initiative addresses these issues through a feminist and participatory lens, offering practical tools, support, and programmes that enable women, girls, and communities to navigate the digital world with greater confidence and safety.
The project is structured around three complementary lines of work:
Cyber Equality, which promotes responsible, ethical, and critical use of technology;
Prevention and response to digital gender-based violence, offering strategies to confront harassment, control, and other forms of online violence;
LiderA+, a programme that strengthens feminist leadership and the active participation of women and girls in both digital and physical spaces.
Every action within ConectAIgualdad seeks tangible impact: reducing digital divides, promoting fairness in artificial intelligence systems, strengthening collaborative networks, and ensuring that technology becomes a tool for empowerment rather than exclusion.
